In 2001, Asian Paints made a quiet but powerful shift.
KBS Anand focused on distribution, technology and customer experience—including cutting complaint resolution from a month to just 3 days.
Within five years, the company had transformed how it reached and served customers.
The investing lesson:
Great turnarounds don't always begin with a new product.
Sometimes they begin with fixing the machine behind the product.
Vellayan Subbiah bought into one of India’s ugliest corporate situations.
CG Power had over ₹2,000 crore of debt.
Its stock had collapsed from ₹225 to ₹5.
TII acquired 57% in 2020 for ₹800 crore.
Within two years, CG Power became net debt-free.
The lesson isn't “buy beaten-down stocks.”
The real opportunity appears when a capable owner can change the economics of a broken business.
In the early 2000s, Eicher had 15 businesses and none was a clear leader.
Siddhartha Lal made a brutal decision:
Sell 13 of them.
He kept Royal Enfield and trucks.
In 2005, Royal Enfield sold only ~25,000 bikes a year.
By FY18, it was selling 8 lakh+.
The lesson isn't diversification.
It's knowing what to walk away from so you can put everything behind what you truly believe in.
Peter Lynch once got an investment clue from his wife’s supermarket shopping.
She brought home a pair of L’eggs pantyhose sold inside a plastic egg.
Lynch investigated.
He discovered the product was taking share because it offered better quality and fit than the alternatives in supermarkets.
He invested.
The lesson: sometimes the best stock research starts with noticing what ordinary people are buying.
Look harder at everyday life. The next great investment may already be sitting in your shopping cart
In 1969, Karsanbhai Patel had a government job.
After work, he made detergent in his backyard, packed it by hand and sold it door-to-door on a bicycle.
Nirma cost about ₹3.50/kg.
Surf was around ₹13.
He didn't try to beat HUL at its game.
He found millions of customers HUL wasn't serving properly.
Great businesses don't always win by being better. Sometimes they win by making the product affordable to people the market ignored
@rajuidesai It is not satire sir, i have reached till good job point, now i need more luck for wealth creation. my parents support me a lot, i just felt lucky about my life trajectory till now, thats all.
Did not meant negative
When someone gets educated very well, get good Job, life become easy, he starts feeling he did.
Sardar Patel has always one saying he always use speak now and then...
“હું કરું, હું કરું, એ જ અજ્ઞાનતા, શકટનો ભાર જેમ શ્વાન તાણે”
But Wealth creation is totally different thing.
You get good degree, get good job, marry, wife ,children beautiful House, no debts.....that is what one can get from having a good education.
But Wealth creation ? That needs Luck.
Want wealth like Mukesh Ambani? Want wealth and fame like Amitabh Bachhan?
You need Luck. You need to be Lucky.
Have you seen Jackie Shroff going to Ram Temple and cleaning steps of Temple? Have you seen that picture?
Why Jackie Shroff was doing that? Uski kala pe usko bharosa nahi tha?
Why all star of Bollywood went to Ram Temple at Ayodhdhya?
Why Mukesh Ambani goes to Tirupati Balaji or Siddhi Vinayak? Kya jarror hai jane ki?
-- "Anything you earn more then you PUT EFFORT is Luck. Is God Blessing."
Even Warren Buffet says, I was Lucky to be born in USA.
What would I have achieved if I was born in Afghanistan?
This are his words. He acknowledge that with out Luck he would have not been able to amess such wealth, $136 Bn.
WB says, He was fortunate to be born in America.
He says he was fortunate to be born White.
He says he was fortunate he was born Male and not Female....
He says, his 2 sisters were no less intelligent then him but when they were born, the max opportunity was becoming a Secretary for Female....
Warren Buffet says, he had the Ovarian Lottery to be born in USA and born White....

In 2008, Warren Buffett put $230 million into a little-known Chinese battery company called BYD.
Berkshire bought 225 million shares at HK$8.
Charlie Munger was the one who pushed Buffett to look at it.
By 2022, that stake was worth roughly $7.5 billion.
More than 30×.
Buffett wasn't betting on an EV stock.
He was betting on Wang Chuanfu and his ability to turn engineering capability into a huge business.
Sometimes the biggest investment thesis isn't the product.
It's the person building it.

#Krishna as a child was not about seriousness.
He was fun.
He was joy.
He was music.
He was dance.
He was energy beyond imagination.
Just his presence made Brindavan heaven on earth.
Playing with calves, cows and the simple cowherd boys… stealing butter… laughing, running, dancing.
These were not people with degrees or sophisticated knowledge. Yet their love took them to a point where even hundred lifetimes of intellectual learning may not take us.
That is Bhakti.
Bhakti is not dry.
Bhakti is not sitting with a long face.
Bhakti is celebration of existence itself.
There is so much joy in surrender that the mind cannot comprehend it.
And then look at the complete Krishna.
The same Krishna who played the flute in Brindavan stood in the middle of Kurukshetra—where politics, family conflict, power, war and human greed had reached their peak.
Yet he was completely balanced.
No fear.
No hatred.
No confusion.
To Arjuna, in the middle of that battlefield, he gave the Bhagavad Gita.
Philosophia Ultima.
The ultimate understanding of life: do your duty, give your best, but do not lose your inner balance because of the result.
For centuries, the Western mind has tried to understand this depth. J. Robert Oppenheimer, who led the scientific effort behind the atomic bomb, carried the Gita deeply within his mind. Many great scientists who believed only in matter and logic eventually came face to face with the depth of Indian mind sciences.
Krishna is the greatest paradox.
Joy and responsibility.
Love and detachment.
Flute and battlefield.
Dance and Dharma.
Life is a song and a dance—but when duty calls, stand like Krishna.
Smile like the child of Brindavan.
Think like the teacher of the Gita.
Live with joy, but remain centred in every war of life.
#JaiShriKrishna

Rapido Pink is solving a pyschological problem most people ignored
For many women, the issue with a bike taxi isn't just the ride.
It’s the discomfort of sitting inches behind a stranger for 20–30 minutes.
Rapido's answer: make the stranger verified, identifiable and accountable, KYC, background checks, captain details, live tracking, SOS and behavioural monitoring
Now add women Captains, and the platform can address an even deeper trust barrier.
Good businesses don't just solve a transportation problem.
They solve the psychological problem stopping people from using the product.
Vijay Kedia’s Atul Auto bet is a masterclass in finding multibaggers.
2005: Bought Atul Auto around ₹80–90.
2009: Lehman crisis crushed it to around ₹5.
He didn’t sell.
He bought more.
2014–15: The stock reached roughly ₹1,500–1,600.
That’s ~18–20× from his original entry - and far more on the shares bought near ₹5.
Why did he hold?
He trusted the management, saw low capacity utilisation and believed the company could scale.
The real multibagger isn't just finding the stock.
It's understanding WHY you own it before the market does
Mohnish Pabrai calls himself a “shameless cloner.”
That sounds lazy.
It’s actually the opposite.
He studies great investors, borrows their ideas, then does the hard work himself to decide whether they make sense.
The lesson:
Ego wants originality.
Investing rewards good judgment.
Don’t be shy to learn from someone better than you.
@ngduc2202 Before: market + limit orders throughout order-entry with limits getting priority; from Sept 7: market+limit only 9:00–9:05, then only limits till 9:10, matching 9:10–9:12, and market orders now get priority.
NSE Pre-Open is changing from Sept 7.
What is Pre-Open?
9:00–9:15 AM auction where overnight orders are collected and matched to discover the stock’s opening price at 9:15.
Earlier:
Market + limit orders could be placed through the order-entry phase, with limit orders getting priority.
From Sept 7:
9:00–9:05 → Market + Limit orders
9:05–9:10 → Only Limit orders
9:10–9:12 → Matching & price discovery
9:12–9:15 → Transition to normal trading
Big change: Market orders will now get priority over limit orders.
Worth knowing if you trade the opening move.
