I would argue getting dressed in anything would be performative. We all have an aesthetic we want to be portrayed when we go out lmao. Sheβs just mad bc she didnβt have that shit on, give her some tips π
was told the way i was dressed is performative by an acquaintance this morning. If she wanted to accuse me of dressing lazy and unflattering that would have been fair but calling casual clothes that arent bike shorts and a tank preformative is bananas. In this exactly but pink
@rayjaymay1967 I just said I wouldnβt attend! and yes Iβm using my phone as a phone bc Iβm using the features built into the phone π€·π½ββοΈ we have surpassed the days of phones only being flip phones with no camera or other capabilities.
Do the children of today who are pissed about no phones at concerts know that not that long ago we all went to concerts without the types phones we have today. And that includes disabled people and they didnβt suddenly die because they didnβt have their phone for 2 hours
And prior to the show beginning they make an announcement to turn your phones off but they do allow you to have your phones out during the intermission.
The culture and expectations are different and as someone who regularly goes to the orchestra and ballet, there are ushers standing near every door on every level and they will come up to you if they see your phone out.
They donβt use Yondr pouches but no phones / no recording policy is standard for orchestra performances and I donβt think anyone ever throws a fit about it.
@junglejim_69420 Where did I say I was made to go to an event? This is inconsequential to me bc I would never be going to a phobe bridgers concert phone or no phone and the artist I truly care about seeing live would never have such a policy. I just donβt think phones should be locked up oh well
@rayjaymay1967 The phone comes with the camera doesnβt it? They are using it as a phone lmao. I use my phone to record and take pics of what I want and if I paid 1800 dollars for a ticket nobody is telling me I canβt use it. But I simply wouldnβt attend a concert that was set up like that.
Concerts occur bc the artist wants to make money. They are not a favor. We arenβt owed concerts and the artist isnβt owed fans willing to spend their money on them.
@ArielleKruse1 oh iβm sorry, am i supposed to check my paycheck amount every time and cross reference it with my hours? oh no, thatβs payrolls job. so what the fuck are they doing?
Just found out that my baby is not invited to an upcoming family wedding should I start drama and boycott it? I just donβt understand why and no one has been able to give me a legitimate reason why babies shouldnβt be allowed at weddings
