Pope Leo XIV formally confirmed his support for the Catholic Land Movement (CLM) in a letter sent on November 18, 2025.

The Catholic Land Movement is a movement that encourages Catholic families to return to self-sufficient rural life, with a focus on faith, family, and land ownership. It draws inspiration from initiatives from the early 20th century and seeks to reestablish prosperous and Catholic rural communities.

The letter also recalls the blessing granted by Pius XI, in 1933, to the first Catholic Land Associations, and states that this same blessing is now extended to the CLM, recognizing the continuity of this apostolate in our times.
