@MikeKulick@onchainbee@timraybould Yeah, back online now. Many of the missing newsletters over the past few days should still make it in eventually. Really sorry about the lengthy outage.
@rsathish93 Hi, no, there’s isn’t an option to “mark read on open,” but it’s not a bad idea :). Though on iOS (but not yet Android), there is now an easy way to mark all as read once you’re done with a group.
@seanbonner Was it the first one you sent in a while? We cleaned up the database a couple months ago by (with warning of course) deleting long dormant accounts. The next time those accounts get newsletters, Stoop auto unsubscribes them to make sure your list is clean too!
Hi newsletter senders, just a quick PSA: we’re cleaning up our database and deleting lots of dormant user accounts (they’re getting warnings of course). The next time you send an issue, you may see a spike in unsubscribes from Stoop as we auto unsubscribe for deleted accounts.
@learnwithvidya If they haven’t used Stoop in over a year, an email gets sent saying “we’ll delete in a week, but to prevent that just login to Stoop once."
@MassagingMedium Sort of. Rewrote the app on iOS and didn't bring that feature over yet. Intention is to make it available on the web soon. It's still there on Android.
@donmableyallen You’re not missing anything, the directory is sans search at the moment. Will add it back soon. Of course, you can search for newsletters on the web and subscribe using your stoopinbox address.
@kylepetz All of the actions in the “+” menu, except for new folder, are also located in the main menu under the Stoop section (Directory etc). The email overflow menu is primarily to reply or forward a message, and has an unsubscribe shortcut.
@kylepetz The only way I could get it smooth enough was to use the system default and the word delete is not yet customizable. It does actually perform a “mark as read” action. I know it’s a lame reason! I did try to inspect those buttons while updating, no change yet unfortunately.
New release for the iOS app 💫. Stoop 2.1.3 brings back swipe to archive! Along with it comes a subtle design change of the main inbox view. "Cards" are out in favor of a cleaner list.
@kylepetz Thanks for following up - I meant to ask you to recheck with 2.1.2. Sounds like that didn’t fix it. I can try a couple more things (still unable to reproduce). Do you have any accessibility settings turned on at the OS level like a bigger font size?
@blanchomme Trying to add this back! It’s rewritten in a new framework called SwiftUI which for the most part is great but I’ve not been able to get the swipe to archive as smooth as it would need to be. Coming soon. Fwiw, the mark all as read function is much improved.
