Hove residents fighting to stop Three & EE building a giant 5G base station on top of their home in historic Grand Avenue heritage zone without their permission
Delighted that @PINSgov have robustly dismissed the appeal by @ThreeUK & @EE to build a giant #5G mast station on our roof, in the middle of a protected #Hove#heritage conservation area, without homeowner consent. This was theft by big business & we won! https://t.co/n97wzfShWU
@chrishawtree@BrightonHoveCC We are a share of freehold block; our managing agents are employed by us. To reemphasise, no one has given consent or permission to this landgrab.
Today is the final day for comments on the #5G mobile phone company appeal. Let's ensure that the Planning Inspectorate upholds @BrightonHoveCC planning REFUSAL for giant masts on private #Hove homes. https://t.co/BPbQgSX2o9
@chrishawtree@BrightonHoveCC The freehold company, owned by leaseholders. We have a share of freehold, so all flat owners are united in this. We employ a management agency to run the day-to-day management.
@afbhasccc Thank you - yes, the Art Deco in Miami is fantastic. Such a shame that some of the art deco houses were torn down on Grand Avenue to build the apartments - but before heritage protection. We must protect what we have left.
Straight lines & wide open, uncluttered space. Urban design & heritage is important. That's why @DCMS have strengthened heritage protection when it comes to giant #5G mast sites. Help save our #Hove Grand Avenue - appeal deadline 6 April, have your say!https://t.co/xlBZeGMzxt
It's the final countdown! Three more days to have your say & support @BrightonHoveCC 's refusal for giant mast base station on our roof in #Hove conservation area. @peterkyle agrees that there are multiple alternative sites available. https://t.co/xlBZeGMzxt @BHDemocracyNews
@KernelofHove@robert_nemeth@BrightonHoveCC The incredible power of the sea and storms...keeps eroding the defences. A lot of the damage took place in the last couple of big storms this year. Yes, the pole was much flimsier in the way it was fixed. What I think is incredible is how it landed upright!
If only @ThreeUK@EE's planning appeal were an #AprilFools. Sadly, attempted #5G corporate theft is no joke for the homeowners of #Hove. Help support the #BHCC decision to refuse planning permission to these tech #jokers by 6 April! https://t.co/BPbQgSX2o9 @Gary4Hove @BHGreens
Power to the people! #Hove residents show their support for #BHCC's decision to REFUSE planning permission to @ThreeUK@EE who unfortunately won't take a clear no for an answer. However, their planning appeal isn't supported by local leaders @peterkyle @Gary4Hove @samerbagaeen
I've always fought for justice. From campaigning for disability & equality rights to now local planning. As @Gary4Hove says below about our #Hove campaign: “Suitable masts already exist, and alternative commercial sites have not been properly considered."

Just two weeks until the appeal deadline closes on 6 April. Do support #BHCC decision to refuse planning permission to Three & EE as their plans breach multiple planning and conservation regs, plus trying to steal our home! @protconuk @bbcsoutheast@BBCBreaking@BBCWomansHour
It's late, it's been a busy week & it's only Tuesday! As we're fighting to protect not only our homes, but our #Hove Avenues protected heritage from giant incongruous #5G masts, here's a 1933 photo of Grand Avenue showing the original Coombe Lea house. @BHDemocracyNews@BBCSussex
Holding #Hove residents' hostage to fortune & vulnerable to #attack in unstable times is UNACCEPTABLE Three & EE fail to provide explicit security & business continuity specs for their planned #5G infrastructure & consideration of serious physical attacks. https://t.co/osVvgkQdKu
@BHDemocracyNews I see the dangers of hot coals left on the beach on my daily morning walks - some people just cover the hot coals with stones which then become hidden scalding burn zones by morning - along with broken glass bottle - a real hazard for bare feet and paws.
Despite their bold claims, MBNL @ThreeUK & @EE DO NOT ENGAGE with local communities. Our experience is of threatening & misleading letters from a company that seeks to STEAL OUR HOMES WITHOUT CONSENT! #5G@Ofcom@ukgovtech
