A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year, and may support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Let's look after the trees 🌳 Via @WoodlandTrust#wellbeing#nature#wildlife
@AlistairBarrie @blackpoppies14 I agree that his name should not be attributed to the report without his knowledge nor permission, but I would ask him would his answers have been any different or less valuable?
I am concerned about what happens after the local Plan is rejected. Will they really be penalised by having to find extra houses, when they can’t managed to find an acceptable plan for the original numbers.
@stopbggc Latest letter ED81 from inspector to TMBC inviting them to withdraw Local Plan themselves or the inspector will issue thier final report rejecting the local plan.

@GreenJudd@TMBC_Kent 400,000 approved homes not been built in the UK. 4,000 in T&M.
1 million empty homes in the UK.
So why do Kent Conservatives want to build a 3 mile long access road for a 3,000 mass housing estate on Kent greenbelt adjoining the AONB?
KCC elections May 2021 !
@stopbggc
Under new rules Housing Secretary, Robert Jenkins, declares that Protected land such as Greenbelt land ,like in Borough Green, will be banned from new development. I hope TMBC have a plan B. @TMBC_Kent@LondonGreenBelt@TandM_Greens@TomTugendhat
I've just signed the @CPRE petition for a green and fair recovery for our countryside. As the government draws up its plans for the country's future, will you join me in our collective call to #buildbackbetter?

@CarolineDibden Nor sure where building a 3,000 mass housing estate on Kent greenbelt countryside adjoining the AONB fits in with that theory?
I know it's a Conservative policy to do all they can to concrete over Kent greenbelt but it doesnt go down too well with the electorate
@stopbggc
A nice new cycling route and footpath with trees, landscaped green areas and lakes from Wrotham Heath to Ightham would be so much better than 3000 houses with tons of concrete and tarmaced roads.
There is £8m available for new cycling and walking Infrastructure in Kent if we act now to improve facilities in our communities. There has never been a better opportunity. Here are our suggestions to deliver improvement. https://t.co/iDMWVg4nIu

It is vital that the opinion of the majority of the local community is heard and not threatened and bullied by developers and town planners. Back local democracy.
New virtual planning practices are at risk of being exploited by developers, threatening planning decisions that should work for people, nature and the environment.

It is a known fact that there is toxic infill in the land in Borough Green. Regardless of the local plan for this land what action is being done by the authorities to have this area cleared before it spills into the water system. @TMBC_Kent@TandM_Greens@TMBCToryGroup
This local plan is so incompatible on so many levels and would the Government be prepared to spend as much money on fighting Climate control as they are on fighting Corvid19. The price is protecting the old but will be paid for the young.
The Local Plan is incompatible with declaring a Climate Emergency. Why look at the Green Belt when there are acres of brownfield land at Aylesford Newsprint and dotted around Tonbridge which have been overlooked other than for commercial development.
