Today I spoke with the new British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, and made it clear that a serious change in the approach of the British Government is needed.
The sustained cuts and underfunding of public services imposed by Westminster must end.
There must also be urgent and meaningful support to help families and small businesses through this cost-of-living crisis, support that the previous Prime Minister failed to provide.
We also discussed the enormous political change taking place in Ireland, as people from every background across this island increasingly see their future as best served in a new and united Ireland.
The democratic right of the people of Ireland to determine our own future must be fully acknowledged and respected.
I wished Andy well as he takes office, and I stand ready to work constructively with him in the best interests of all our people and communities.
Israel has now squeezed over 2 million Palestinians into 30% of Gaza. Gaza was already one of the most densely populated places on earth. Now, it’s basically a concentration camp. American media is going to go in a museum one day as the propagandists who covered up these crimes.
This is an appalling lack of judgement and the surest sign yet that Britain will continue to be Trump's lackey.
The war in Iran has cost countless lives, and breached international law - yet we continue to support it.
Very, very concerning. Very, very continuity Starmer.
Andy Burnham showing he's in touch with Scotland by handing a man who has consistently got his party its worst results here a cushy job for life and a role in government. I love democracy ❤️😍
Andy Burnham has still not lifted Yvette Cooper's proscription - which sees thousands of good people being arrested as terrorists - just for holding placards.
Please RT this until - he does.
Thank you.
The very definition of an inauspicious start. The New Chancellor will push public debt further into the red to buy US weaponry that does nothing either to bolster productivity or UK's defences. The same ol' Home Secretary will continue practising ritualistic brutality (or vicious signalling) on refugees. Cooper will continue hollowing out the NHS, in full Blairite fashion. And Ed is tasked to turn full-blooded genocide complicity into something cluddlier. https://t.co/gi1sWwUbBw
Do you believe Andy Burnham should back the mandate given by the Scottish people and provide the powers for the Scottish Parliament to hold an independence referendum 🏴🗳️?
Please RT for a large response
John Healey is the new chancellor. As Defence Secretary, he oversaw the British spy flights that flew over Gaza and supplied the intelligence to Israel as it massacred Palestinians
In Britain, being complicit in genocide doesn’t bring punishment, it brings promotion.
Some of the very worst cheerleaders of Israel's genocide in Palestine have been sacked by Burnham. Great, but plenty of others remain & the real test is whether government policy actually changes.
Will the arms sales stop? The sharing of intelligence? The trade with settlements?
No Rachel, you are not leaving the UK economy stronger, healthier. No Keir, you are not leaving Britain in a better state than you found it. There is a reason you were booted out by your own party: Together, you did enormous harm to Britain's social fabric & ethos. Good night! https://t.co/1xBgxXuITN
🗣️ "Andy Burnham must deliver an emergency cost of living budget, and a meaningful package of financial support for families, to reverse the damage done under the Labour Party government and put money back into people's pockets."

I was on Piers Morgan Uncensored this week, debating Kevin O'Leary on everything from Iran to wealth taxes to AI.
But the moment that stuck with me was China.
For years people have challenged me to name a single country actually doing what I argue for.
I never could, but now I can.
China has pulled more people out of poverty than any nation in history, and it's out-building America while it does it. Public affluence and private affluence. Turns out the combination works.
Kevin's terrified of his kids "living under Chinese rule." Meanwhile I've walked those cities, and I'm not the one stepping over someone sleeping rough every five metres.
Watch the full thing and tell me who won, link in the comments.
The BBC is one of the most sinister organisations in the western world.
Good for natural history programmes, but if you are on the wrong side of:
- genocide
- serial paedophile cover ups
- Scottish democracy
- a Post Office scandal
- Irish democracy
- boardroom zionism
- etc 🤔
Sir Keir Starmer misled MPs during his final PMQs last Wednesday. Corbyn's Labour Party was never found to be 'institutionally antisemitic'. Sir Keir needs to return to parliament and correct the record:
