D) We gave peace a try dozens of times but russians throw our people in the mass graves, proceed to daily massacre our civilians, bomb children with cancer in a hospital and as well as 1000+ other medical facilities, destroy our cultural heritage, record videos of decapitation and their human safari in Kherson aka the most well documented targeting of civilians by hunting them down with drones. And, of course, reject any peace deal that wasn't utter capitulation that includes disarmament of our forces and giving them the East and South, more than they were actually able to take, with zero guarantees from anyone that this will prevent them from attacking again. "No harm in this" indeed 🙃
E) He also lies, of course, about Ukrainians wanting to capitulate, absolutele majority of Ukrainians (75%) are against territorial concessions with no proper security guarantees.
And 52% are just plain against any ceding of land.

EU officials are calling to strip the IOC of its European funding after it reinstated Russia's Olympic Committee.

Estonia will propose excluding the IOC from EU funding programs, including Erasmus+.

"It is impossible to understand decisions that seek to bring aggressor countries back into international sport as if nothing had happened," Estonia's culture minister said, and the EU's sport commissioner signaled support: sport "cannot become a back door for normalizing aggression."

The 7 July IOC decision paves Russians' way to the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Ukraine's sports minister called it an "alarming signal" and asked federations to hold their bans.

While the world's cameras are fixed on the five-day state funeral of Khamenei, the Islamic Republic is silently killing this 23-year-old girl with a slow death.

Raheleh Moeini, a biomedical engineering graduate of Amirkabir University, had traveled back to Iran from Italy to visit her family. On January 18th, in Saadatabad, Tehran, she was shot by security forces and at that very moment, bleeding and wounded, she was abducted and transferred to Qarchak Prison. Her family spent weeks not knowing where she was. Whether she was alive or dead.

Now Branch Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, has issued its verdict. One year for being on the street where they shot her. One and a half years for having a Twitter account. Two years banned from leaving the country. This regime first put a bullet in her, then put her on trial.

During the 2004 Ukrainian presidential campaign, Viktor Yushchenko suffered a sudden and mysterious health collapse. Doctors later determined that he had been exposed to a dangerous level of dioxin, a toxic chemical compound. The effects were devastating, leaving his face permanently marked and making his condition the subject of international headlines.

At the time, Yushchenko was campaigning on a platform that emphasized strengthening Ukraine’s ties with Europe and reducing Moscow’s influence. Because of this, he and his family believed the incident was not accidental but instead politically motivated. Regardless of the cause, his illness and dramatic recovery quickly became symbolic of Ukraine’s struggle for independence, democracy, and self-determination.

What made the story even more remarkable was Yushchenko’s determination to continue. Despite his weakened health and altered appearance, he returned to the campaign trail and pushed forward. His resilience inspired supporters, many of whom saw him as a living representation of their fight for change.

By the end of 2004, Yushchenko had overcome both the personal and political challenges to win the presidency. His story remains a powerful reminder of the lengths individuals will go to for their beliefs and their country’s future.
