Had such an awesome time being a buddy at Night to Shine put on by @TimTebow! It was an amazing experience and I really appreciate the work the @tebowfoundation does for communities around the country.
Develop: to grow or change into a more advanced, larger, or stronger form.
▪️A huge emphasis in our program to keep kids out. We coach Freshman-Seniors as hard as we can, and find them opportunities to play in games to develop.
▪️We're one of the few small schools in Illinois (220 enrollment) that still plays 3 games per week. Freshman, JV, and Varsity.
▪️It continues to get harder and harder each year to keep kids interested in developing, and not quitting if they aren't starting right away.
▪️However, we LOVE them and work hard to DEVELOP them on and off the field. We don't just focus on Varsity players.
Do you have a plan to build a sustainable roster and develop them?

DEVELOPING MENTAL TOUGHNESS
"You get mental toughness because things are hard. You've got to embrace hard.
Tough times make hard people. Easy times make soft people...
You've gotta learn to overcome things that are hard." (Nick Saban)
Georgia State Safeties Coach CJ Wilford - Defending RPOs (Split Safety Bracket) 🧵
Biggest question is Where/How do the RPOs occur
- To the back
- Away from the back
- Are they pre/post snap reads
- Who is in conflict
- Scheme to cancel interior gaps.
- Understand which players are coverage to action vs action to coverage.
- "We want to push the conflict defender as far back as possible so he can take this thing from the top down and alleviate the RPO from depth."
