Apparently networking isn’t just screaming “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore” at people at filmmaking and writing functions. So, back to square one I guess
I was on an elevator today when I was asked if I was growing out my hair.
Too existentially exhausted to filter anything, I regrettably responded “no, just depressed.”
An honest answer they were not prepared for.
And that, folks, began the most quiet elevator ride of my life.
I wish Rosa would have been included in the Jake Therapy arc in Brooklyn 99.
POC and LGBT mental health isn’t discussed enough. Especially not in an intersectional way.
Also if Rosa, a bad ass, goes to therapy, it helps normalize the idea that seeking therapy isn’t a weakness
I’d love to see the GoTG dealing with an Alien style situation where Quill keeps referencing the movie but no one understands what he’s talking about and are horrified/confused by how humans depict aliens in their media
It could be my family losing their house after a parent became sick and lost their job / coverage for being sick too long. Could be the time a friend was hit by a car and asked not to go to the hospital because they didn’t have insurance. I dunno. Life is fun.
The real villain of Sonic the Hedgehog isn't Robotnik. The true monsters are the two bystanders at the end of the trailer who think James Marsden has a random child in a duffel bag then treat it like it's the world's worst small talk

Sincerely,

As someone who’s broke, I’d really appreciate it if chip readers said “congratulations” when your debit card is approved
Cause sometimes having that go through successfully feels like a real accomplishment
I had a chat with a friend about a script they were working on and they described it as “Oscar level material” non-ironically
I don’t know what happened in their life to give them that amount of confidence, but if that could happen to me that’d be super
I’m watching The Void for the hundredth time, and as much as I respect CGI, there’s something viscerally horrifying about the tangibility of well crafted practical effects in horror that I really appreciate
Friend: You should apologize less.
Me: I’m sorry
Friend: See? There you go again. Stop apologizing.
Me: I know I’m sorry for saying sorry so much
Friend: No, don’t say you’re sorry for saying sorry it’s so annoying
Me: ...
Friend: ...
Me: I don’t know what to do
