With these powerful words, Shri Deepak Bagla (@DeepakBagla_), Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, congratulated STPI on completing 35 years of driving India’s technology and innovation ecosystem.

Reflecting on India’s greatest strengths — its immense potential, resilient people and visionary leadership — he highlighted how innovation has evolved into a nationwide movement. From schools to space, initiatives like AIM are nurturing a culture of problem-solving, entrepreneurship and technological excellence across the country.

Citing milestones such as the world’s largest hackathon by AIM, which generated over 25 lakh prototypes, he underscored the scale of India’s innovation ambitions and the aspirations of a new India.

“A wave of innovators is rising. An army of creators is ready. This leap is no longer a question - it is a reality,” he concluded.

“The true superpower of technology is the impact it creates.” 🗯️

Ms. Debjani Ghosh (@debjani_ghosh_), Distinguished Fellow at NITI Aayog | Chief Architect of the NITI Frontier Tech Hub| Former president of NASSCOM, delivered a thought-provoking address at the STPI Tech Summit 2026, on India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat and the role of technology in shaping an inclusive future. ✨

Highlighting the importance of innovation at the grassroots level, she acknowledged STPI’s pivotal contribution to India’s technology story.

“STPI has been one of the biggest quiet change engines in building the very DNA of this industry,” she remarked, noting how the organisation has consistently reduced friction across operations, talent development and market access for the tech ecosystem.

As India enters a new era of technological transformation, she emphasised that while the nation possesses the ambition and talent to lead, the key question is how it can build lasting relevance in a rapidly evolving landscape. In this journey, STPI continues to have a critical role to play.

She concluded by identifying three defining forces shaping the future of technology and society:

Shri S. Krishnan(@SecretaryMEITY), Secretary, MeitY, delivered a thought-provoking address at STPI Tech Summit 2026, reflecting on India’s technology journey and the opportunities that lie ahead in the age of Artificial Intelligence. ⚙️🗯️

Addressing the transformative impact of AI on the IT and ITES landscape, he emphasised the need to proactively understand and adapt to the changes it will bring. The real question, he noted, is not whether AI will reshape industries, but how India can ride this technological wave, deploy it across sectors, and ensure it creates meaningful impact in the lives of its citizens.

Recalling discussions from the IndiaAI Impact Summit, he acknowledged STPI’s significant role in bringing together innovators, policymakers, industry leaders, investors, mentors and entrepreneurs.

“STPI always has this convening power, of bringing people together.”
Highlighting STPI’s expansion to 73 centres across the country, he reiterated the importance of building innovation ecosystems beyond metros and creating a critical mass of talent, startups and opportunities in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.

Reflecting on STPI’s remarkable journey, he emphasised that while the organisation has played a pivotal role in India’s technology growth, the focus must now be on the future - driving self-reliance, innovation and technological leadership under the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. 🇮🇳

Highlighting the immense potential of India’s youth, he remarked that every district should have an STPI centre, ensuring that talent from across the country has access to opportunities and technology.

STPI Tech Summit 2026 – India's Next Leap | MoU Highlights ✨

In the spirit of partnership, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was exchanged between AIC STPINEXT INITIATIVES and NEN, Wadhwani Foundation during the event, to catalyse the next phase of India’s entrepreneurial growth and boost the vibrant innovation ecosystem. 🤝

The MoU was exchanged between Ms. Sanghamitra Dutta Bhasin, Accelerate Growth Program Manager, on behalf of NEN and Shri Sanjay Kumar Gupta (@guptaa_sanjay), Sr. Director, STPI, on behalf of STPINEXT.

Through this collaboration, startups will gain access to structured founder development programmes, mentorship, investor readiness support, and growth acceleration opportunities.
