@BHGam1ng @Broomahh @MDMonster1@ThatGenericEric It says its required, doesn't happen at launch, it isn't effectively communicated that it is still required (AH CEO says as much), IP and publisher Sony says its optional. Statement still stands. And yes, IP Owner and Publisher makes the call on their 3rd party software.
@BHGam1ng@MDMonster1 @Broomahh @ThatGenericEric Deflecting to 'grammar is bad haha' is a clear sign of someone who's lost an argument and has nothing else to say.
@BHGam1ng @Broomahh @MDMonster1@ThatGenericEric Updated AFTER the announcement to link accounts was pointed out and after we pointed this out. Don't believe me? Use the way back machine. Look at the FAQ page on May 3rd and then May 4th.
@doctorps4 HD 2 said it required it, while Sonys own sites FAQ said linking PSN accounts were optional. That's where a good chunk of the issue is coming from.
@BHGam1ng @Broomahh @MDMonster1@ThatGenericEric We do have a problem with it. When I find out a game requires a 3rd party account I usually refund it. And Sonys website FAQ advised us that it was optional.
@ThatGenericEric No, a lot of PC players don't like it when these pricks do it either. At least they do it day one as opposed to requiring it months after I can refund it. And yes I know it says its required on the steam page. Sonys FAQ said it was optional. And a new TOS has to be agreed on
@ChrisHarte7 On Sonys website, prior to the announcement and backlash, their FAQ stated that PC games wouldn't be required to have a PSN account. That was the impression my friends and I had when we bought the game. Theres also the reason behind the requirement for a PSNA that I don't like.
@Pilestedt@jeoc42@Grummz In Sonys FAQ about PC games they say that it isn't mandatory to link a PSN account. They updated this yesterday when people pointed it out.
@TheVResistance Both of those are from Sony. I bought the game thinking it would be optional. Ultimately, they should have been more upfront, not just a small line on the steam page and an article from Jan.
