🗣️We were honored to welcome Prof. Sam Stranks @SamStranks from the Univ. of Cambridge @StranksLab to Kyoto Univ.!
His lecture on nanoscale characterization provided invaluable insights for our research. 😲😮😃
We look forward to our future collaboration!
Happy to share our recent collaboration work led by @glenn_quek and @ReisnerLab, published in @J_A_C_S, presenting a first-in-class biohybrid system for solar-to-chemical conversion. Huge congrats to Glenn & all co-authors, and an honour to contribute! @ChemCambridge@StranksLab
In 2012, we reported the first solid-state halide perovskite solar cell, introducing a concept that was far from obvious at the time. This Perspective revisits how that idea emerged, the experimental path that led to it, and how the field evolved from those early results. It also helps clarify aspects of the early history that have become blurred over time.

@StranksLab —> beautiful Barcelona for the @nanoGe_Conf#MATSUS26 conference. Presenting is Rob Westbrook on photophysical heterogeneity in Pb-Sn, Yutong Han on enhanced Pb-Sn absorbers for perovskite tandems, & @WeidongXu7 on connecting inhomogeneities to PSC charge extraction.
Delighted to share my latest collaboration work from my stint at @astar_research where we investigate the bipolar photovoltaic effect in a vdW heterostructure for light polarization detection

A great experimental session with X-rays at the Diamond Light Source with @JonahMessinger and Dr Oliver Fox. Many thanks to Olly and the Diamond team for the tremendous assistance!
Great couple of weeks at @DiamondLightSou carrying out experiments at the i07 GIWAXS beamline and ePSIC electron microscopy facility. 🔬
We are very grateful to the beamline teams for their support and to Diamond for their continued trust in our work.
A great experience attending the recent International Workshop on Near-field Optical Imaging and Spectroscopy at University of Manchester @OfficialUoM, where I presented my ongoing work on characterizing halide perovskite semiconductors at the nanoscale.
@StranksLab PhD candidate @XianWeiChua recently presented at the 3rd International Workshop on Near-field Optical Imaging and Spectroscopy at @OfficialUoM on progress towards nano-scale photoluminescence
characterization of halide perovskites.

Congrats to Dr Wenxin Mao and all co-authors on the latest publication in @J_A_C_S! We discuss how illumination can result in halide ions switching octahedral positions in 2D mixed-halide perovskites, giving rise to substantial changes in optical properties and electronic bandgap
