So right now, I hope everybody agrees the 🇪🇺 should wake up. Hopefully that will last more than a week (not convinced). But what would it entail.

Look at this photo we found from Donald Trump Jr.’s lavish Bahamas wedding.
Can you spot the Russian oligarch close to Putin who bankrolled the event? 🧵
@MartyBent Wait to hear about the fines of BNP Paribas, HSBC, and the billions paid to the U.S. by European banks.
To or three orders of magnitude greater than any tech firms ever had to paid in Europe.
@LaocoonsJournal @nikicaga They don’t.
Thinking the European Commission and the conservative German government are communiste is even more stupid that calling every vaguely right wing guy fascist..
@Inevitablewest They are protesting against the removing of tariffs (a tax) and demands more protection and subsidies from the state.
I am rather sympathetic to their cause, but if someone is communiste is this story (no one is) it’s rather the farmers.
@VictorSinclair3@YvesPDB Oh non, je me demande pourquoi des pays qui ont été envahi à repetitions par la Russie veulent rejoindre des alliances militaires. Bizarre 🤣
@DGodefridi@pietercleppe There are many reasons to be critical of Kaja Kallas, but calling her a bureaucrat is just plain wrong and frankly weird.

This report says there is a longer internal version of the NSS that gets into more detail on weakening the EU. It also proposes a new grouping of countries called the C5— US, China, Russia, Japan, and India— that’s not hemmed in by G7 rules. No Euro representation unless you count Russia.

Actually a position taken by many federalists over the last 70 years.
@ulrichspeck Europe has provided more than half the military support. The U.S. has not provided any for almost a year. Ukrainian army has not crumbled.
Truth is that Europe has not done enough, but more than the U.S., and much more than what the ‘only the U.S. can do it’ ppl predicted.
Très intéressantes études du réputé Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) concernant l'état d'esprit actuel des Ukrainiens concernant les possibilités de cessez-le-feu et de paix et la confiance envers Volodymyr Zelensky.

@Fidias0 Actually securty dilemma is a realist concept that points out that it’s the rational move state should take when facing a resurgent, rearming threatening neighbor. With an awol US and a Russia rearming, the EU needs to at least match be military spending of Russia. Realism 101
