@PaulTonkinson@SStrath58072@RunComPod My times have gotten quicker in the last month because Stewart comes to find me on the route once he's finished his parkrun, and encourages me along for the last km. It seems to work well and have seen a great improvement in my times.
@ScotRail Just wondering the expected timescale for reinstating the normal timetable on Edinburgh to Glasgow via Shotts line? Still one an hour and i'm having to alter working hours to manage without the 4.58pm.
Happy New Year! Kicked off 2025 with a trip to Auldcathie District Parkrun. First time running the new course, despite the freezing rain, sleet & multiple puddles I really enjoyed it. The drive home in blizzard conditions was less fun (photo taken by my navigator). @RunComPod
First run back after injury just in time for @AthTrustScot Scottish Running Week! 4km to to start off (featuring @scotathletics YPF kit!) but all for a good cause.
Recommended donations of ยฃ1 for each km can be given online at https://t.co/1pJfdAfqsl

Auldcathie District Parkrun this morning for Suzy & me where we met fellow @RunComPod listener Kerry who was barcode scanning. 22:21 for me which is a Parkrun & 5k PB (28 secs and 4 secs quicker respectively).
If youโre at home of an evening and in need of festive company, Iโm hosting The Comedy Club on @BBCRadio4Extra every night from 10 til midnight. Join me, itโd be lovely to have you and thereโll be lots of Christmassy treats.
Amazing night at the Kings, Glasgow! Absolutely full house! Really looking forward to Uncanny at the Queen's Hall Edinburgh tomorrow night. Full on spooky theatre weekend ๐๐ฅฐ
@ClassicFM@CharlotteHawkns Jet loving the relaxing music, chilled out. Hates fireworks but the music is wonderful and he hasn't even noticed the noises outside. Thank you!
In case anyone missed this there was an interview with me in the Sunday Times today, hopefully this image is readable if you zoom in.
(One small correction; I went to WCHS not JYH!)
My first time at the Edinburgh Women's 10k and I got a new PB! Official time 47:01, 1:30 quicker than my previous PB at Linlithgow. I really enjoyed this race, despite having to run all the way back up Canongate ๐ I'll definitely be back next year! @RunComPod#YourWeekendRuns
There is a lady on my train who has just produced a flask of hot water, along with (I kid you not) a teapot, cup and saucer. Damn it, being in transit WILL NOT stop her having her morning cuppa in the most civilised manner possible, and I have so much time for that. โ๏ธ๐ซโค๏ธ
@DeeringRob Good luck tomorrow and welcome to my home city! I have deferred my GNR entry to next year, but I'll be at the finish line cheering you all on!
