@GDaddyzs@FBI@POTUS@Minnesota_DHS@AntiFraudClub As someone who has been involved in working with these services (and reporting them) for over a decade, yes fraud is happening, but going to random homecare agencies isn’t where it’s at.
@Minnesota_DHS As a contracted waiver supervisor, I 💯 agree as my job is on the block too. I’ve been reporting numerous instances of fraud for years and often felt unheard.
@Minnesota_DHS I know licenses are still getting paused for investigation, but there is still so much fraud happening and areas they haven’t targeted yet. I work directly with these services and would love to suggest more! Customized livings, CRS, Chore services and their provider fees
@WallStreetApes The reason so many show up is because the adult day centers provide transportation to their day programs. It is billed separately from the adult day center rate, but is under the same NPI as the adult day center.
Transportation to appts is a seperate service.
@EricLDaugh Staying there and aren’t running the streets is another question. Where these services are frauded are often in the amount of hours providers claim to be providing services and staffing. Clients are occasionally released from jail and Anoka treatment center to these settings.
@EricLDaugh I work directly with the services and while a lot of this fraud is accurate and happening, I’m struggling to understand how this story is accurate. Yes, “providers” do buy homes to turn into “group homes” which are now licensed under customized livings adult foster care….
@EricLDaugh In order for them to receive payment, they need to have clients living in there that are on waiver and have an active service agreement to bill. They cannot get those without actual clients with a case manager who submits for authorization. Whether or not those clients are
@MerryMayhem71@joneslillycal A women I know did the same thing when her dtr attempted…. Her daughter was horrified when she came too. That was many years ago and the dtr does not speak to her and is on a good path going forward.
@Minnesota_DHS When we would report the fraud we often didn’t get much feedback, but would be told that just bc we didn’t hear anything, doesn’t mean it wasn’t being investigated. (I’m a contracted supervisor for HCBS).
@mnhousegop@ImSchultz I’ve made reports, primarily regarding crisis respite and their inflated cost drivers. One agency, the rate was $2500 per day and $107 of that cost was for payroll tax. For one client. At the time DHS did not have a cap on payroll tax fees.
@EstergrenSue@drscottjensen He’s very late in “shining this light” on the fraud. I work directly with these services and other waiver services and have seen and reported the fraud for a few years now. There is not enough oversight and people monitoring.
