We thought little Tufi's eyes were damaged beyond repair, but just look at her now! She’s still under treatment and will likely need surgery in the near future, but for now her eyes and at least some of her sight have been saved. #kittenrescue #viscroatia #streetcats #vets

@AnnieSprinkle Here's Ashii with a piece of rock embedded in her side. It fell out on its own after a few days, and the wound healed. Of course, we've gotten all the cats in colonies we feed sterilized, and can easily spot freshly-dumped cats and have them sterilized too.

Here's the #sanctuary we've created for cats who live at the open-air dump on #visisland, in #croatia. The dump is a dangerous place, with bulldozers constantly moving rocks and #trash. We currently feed 39 cats across 4 different colonies, but the dump is the most dramatic.

This is the backside of a new trash mountain they're making: trash is dumped, the bulldozers push it around and mix it with boulders to stabilize. Cats are often abandoned here, and will try to scavenge in the bags of trash, sometimes getting hit by flying boulders.
