@czopanser It's a shame it didn't have the restoration applied like the previous two episodes found a few years ago. There are chroma dots all over the print. Maybe it will get a fuller resto in future.
@TheCyberdevil There are far more artificial VT artefacts removed than AI artefacts added. Seems to be a net gain to me. 🤷♂️ Just needs reframing in thought.
I’m loving the Season 21 Blu-ray collection. Shoutout to the team who put in the serious graft to make these box sets so special. 😍
Honestly, the restoration work is fantastic. After reading some of the comments on here, I was half-expecting a disaster… but wow, was that wrong. Ignore the doom-mongers - these episodes have never looked better!

OK, it’s ‘possibly’ not the Doctor Who episode topping everyone’s missing episode wish-list… but I’ve brought THE SPACE PIRATES Episode One back to life! 🚀
Think of it as an appetiser for The Daleks’ Master Plan on iPlayer this weekend! 😍

@la_riviere Intelligently applied a.i., particularly as it evolves, will be a huge boon to damaged and compromised archive material. Dismissing it all offhand is ridiculous.
@jangomac72 @TrapOne_ I've not seen this set yet, but the A I. upscale throughout the Season 15 boxset makes the footage look absolutely stunning. And that's watching it on a 75 inch Sony bravia.
@georgethefourth@OgronThe Your photos are always hugely creative!
Ignore the luddites with their pissy comments.
They look AWESOME animated like this! 🤩
@outonbluesix Outa-Space! I think they used feature a section where their version of the Time/Space Visualiser would show clips of dinosaurs in a primeval landscape (nifty puppet models) that blew my 7 year old mind!
