Rivalry aside, there’s a person behind every jersey and every headline.

Claude Lemieux was one of the most intense competitors the game has seen. Easily one of my favourite players to watch in the 90’s & 00’s. He was built for big moments and playoff battles; but beyond all of that, he’s still human like the rest of us.

Mental health doesn’t care about rivalries, eras, or even reputations. It affects players, fans, and families alike. It’s okay to check in on people. It’s okay to reach out. And it’s okay to not be okay.

Respect and care should always be bigger than the game.

My DM’s are always open to people no matter what.
