Basketball is not Football.
Speed doesn’t kill.
Pace does.
The best PG’s I’ve played with and against played methodically and didn’t rush to get to their spots.
Then they hit the gas after you fall asleep. Bam. Over.
99% are playing too fast.
SLOW DOWN
The United States has over 4 million youth basketball players! That’s AWESOME!!
On average, those players quit the game at 11 years old. That’s TRAGIC!! The main reason is they aren’t having any fun.
We’re doing youth basketball wrong, and it’s time to fix it.
@ctrent Bell has a roster now and for the future. Those who give so much criticism (some warranted) need to acknowledge what he’s done with this group. And they love playing for him, which in professional sports is big.
The title of “leader” doesn’t tell you much about someone.
Because true leaders are rare but people who found a way to occupy a position of authority are everywhere.
There will be times where you may not feel God. Seek Him anyway. Maybe your prayers feel like they hit a brass wall. Pray them anyway. Continue to commit scriptures to memory, even if at times they only feel like words on a page. Press in and God will honor you for it.
Stop walking on eggshells and tiptoeing around someone’s awful attitude.
The only way those attitudes survive in a relationship or group is if you allow them to go unchallenged and just accept it.
They count on you not pressing them.
Be clear and kind. Be direct and helpful.

We can get caught up in a lot of negativity when things don't go our way. And sometimes life can be really hard. But even in those moments, we can still choose to be grateful for something each and every day. What are you grateful for today?
Know your why. At the most basic level, people are motivated to avoid pain and pursue pleasure. At the highest level, people are motivated to pursue a purpose greater than self. If your why is strong enough, you will forego pleasure and endure discomfort in order to fulfill your purpose. Tap into the power of purpose. Know your why. It is the source of your passion, determination, and courage.
“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 38:8
