@ZJAyres I slept so badly during pregnancy and now when I do sleep, I sleep really well. Yes, that's because I'm quite tired but I genuinely woke up more times in the night in my last trimester than I have since the little one was around two months!
Managed to get the baby to bed at a reasonable time...get ready to settle down on the sofa... immediately rampaged by the cat who is thrilled about the absence of said baby because, that's right, 10 week olds are extremely terrifying
A lovely start to my first birthday as a mum. Eloise gave me some beautiful presents:
She slept for over five hours in one go last night ๐ด
She did an explosive poo just in time for daddy to be able to change her before he set off for work ๐คฃ
Thank you little darling โค๏ธ
This morning: a lovely message from a stakeholder with praise for my work on the Cttee's report on nuclear power.
This afternoon: an amazing surprise from our dear friend @peterjhw07. The most thoughtful gift ahead of our due date on Friday <3
Thank you, thank you ๐๐
#Nuclear Strategic Plan - not a "wish list" - needed if Government to reach target of 24 GW generating capacity by 2050 and close the #powergap#NetZero#energysecurity#SITC reports today๐ฐ๐๐พ

Great to have this big piece of work out. I'm very proud of my contribution to it. It's been my "baby" for the last few months, so I'm very relieved and happy we got to publish it before the imminent arrival of the real deal...
We have published our report on Delivering nuclear power. It calls on the Government to develop and publish a Nuclear Strategic Plan to turn high level aspirations into concrete steps to deliver new nuclear.

Please @Tesco sort this out. I have had more messages today than I would expect from people going into your stores finding the recalled products on shelves and having to remove them themselves!! Only to be told by customer service that they don't know anything about the recall. This is very concerning. It might be the weekend but following a gluten free diet is not a choice for many and doesn't just stop on a Friday at 5pm. This should have been sorted straight away!
Remember it's only packets with Best Before 16th December 2023 at present, like is visible in the image, not other dated ones.

Dementia is absolutely wild (and an absolute b****).
After six months of my nan barely recognising me, I managed to have a five minute conversation with her over the phone, that made some sense, as she was having a miraculously good day ๐ so grateful right now ๐๐
Lots happening in the S&T policy space right now but I'm afraid I'm (for the most part) ignoring it all and having too much fun climbing hills and eating cake in bonny Scotland ๐๐ with @kieran_housley
We have published the Government's responses to our reports on:

We've published our report on Diversity and inclusion in STEM. It highlights acute underrepresentation of people from Black Caribbean backgrounds, and others, across all STEM subjects throughout education and work.

Finally wearing my baby on board badge after a London-based friend had to order one for me because @TfL don't let you order to an address outside London. I'm confident that plenty of pregnant women live outside but work in London so it would be great if @Tfl would change this!
