@cburniske@tradebutwhy sure, if something crazy happens, the price will dip. i can't see anything happening worse than FTX, but anything is possible. this isn't totally fun for a lot of people who are still recovering losses from FTX. we are in a slow recovery with turbulence along the way :)
@PerianneDC creating / classifying a regulatory framework for a new and unprecedented asset class available to nearly the entire human race will not be simple and will likely be 'unhealthy' at times. we're not issuing regulation for baby-food formula here lol

it's great to see @tezos making moves - and with the public sector! government is getting down with blockchain based strategies 💪🏼 what other parts of the public sector / government do you guys think blockchain based strategies could help with?! #Bitcoin
is this bc they're both 'digital' in some way? you're comparing two very different markets and systems. you can't just say 'bitcoin = amazon because digital + bubble' ...dude lol not disagreeing, but you're overlooking some relevant differences between the two #Bitcoin#Crypto
Yesterday Michael Burry tweeted a picture of the market from the Dot Com crash & said "Maybe"
He appears to circle a Dead Cat Bounce
In this bounce, the market rallied 20% over 3 MO before going on to fall another 30%
measuring your level of interest in bitcoin by its price action rather than in its fundamentals and use cases...people who like bitcoin like it because of its functionalities and instrumentation, not necessarily because of the price! #crypto#bitcoin

Cramer said: “Imagine business owners trying to conduct transactions with shares of Facebook or Google … it’s ridiculous, they’re too volatile. Bitcoin is no different,”
two rational parties decide to trade stock in exchange for a sandwich...it's called having a choice...🤦♂️
let's keep antagonizing and placing blame. that'll speed up the process and make things easier🤦♂️ i'm not saying i disagree, but rhetoric like this can come off as insular and divisive. this regulatory situation isn't 'us vs. them' but 'us w/ them' ... #Crypto
“We are seeing the consequences of the SEC’s priorities play out in real time—at the expense of U.S. investors,” says @Sonnenshein in a letter to the editors of the @WSJ, inspired by a recent piece by @capmktsreg's Hal Scott & John Gulliver.

@MilkyGemHunter @coinbase "the ONLY" ... why such strict limitations? can you explain why BTC can't simultaneously stand as both a currency for some or a store of value for some, or even some looking at it as both?
@wittlesquirt @SuomyAnonnoigel @rovercrc i loved his positive outlook, but making this call with inflation as untamed as it was back then is just totally misguided. i love the conviction though 🤗
@Pickle_Rick____@even_anyways@theRealKiyosaki 😂 over the summer our international friends would send BTC to throw into our 'LSD semester fund' with basically no fee and within a matter of seconds. that sort of coverage and efficiency is SO valuable in finance...even if it's for some acid 😇
@RepTomEmmer it's more a failure of morals and ethics from a normative and descriptive sense. exploiting the blemishes of one economic camp in order to bolster up an alternative economic camp isn't the best way to advocate for the alternative
@theRealKiyosaki nothing is technically 'classified' yet. can you explain why CFTC classification is less detrimental to an individual digital asset than SEC classification? how are you measuring influence/impact here?
@Pickle_Rick____@even_anyways@theRealKiyosaki it was created for lots of reasons, but one of the major reasons was because back in pre-2008 there was a demand brewing on internet forums for a digital currency that allowed people like myself and my college friends to buy psychedelics off silk road.
@TechnoMonero@adtyputrprat@xmrbull privacy is an option, and it's also a moral/social right, and in terms of jurisprudence (in the US) it's an implied right. Monero is awesome!
