The Marine Corps' officer training pipeline of OCS (3 mo) > TBS (6 mo) > MOS School (variable) could likely mint capable officers without requiring college education.

Would be losing some maturity, diversity of skills, etc though.

Always thought the other services' officer training was insufficient.
