@Ysdndjd@Jackson_Muse With the exception of last year Burrows line was ass so the scheme was get it out and let people make plays. It might no have been you gassing Lamar for this drive but im just commenting that it’s not impressive
@Alex_1228__ MVPs and all pros are also team accomplishments. We’re also leaving out which offensive line he took to the Super Bowl. “Burrows defense carried him” still scored almost 30 points every game with the exception of the titans game against a run heavy offense
@YooNiksa@Jackson_Muse I could go on about the SB game for hours and no matter what it’ll sound like cope so I try not to argue that, BUT anyone who watched that game knows that holding call was the worst and most narrative changing call maybe ever
Throwing a ball while moving to the right is a high school qb skill. He made two 15 yard passes to wide open receivers, then after 7 seconds in the pocket with no one within a zip code of him he threw a 25 yard pass at Isaiah Likely’s feet and almost behind him. I agree he did what he needed to do. I’m not saying Lamar Jackson is a bad qb, but everything in that video is non impressive. All entry level passes
@YooNiksa@Jackson_Muse I’ll never say Lamar is ass bc he obviously isn’t, but ravens twitter props him up on his accolades that are team stats and defends him with clips that aren’t impressive.
Turnovers help I’ll give you that, but with the exception of the titans game in ‘21 we were still scoring nearly 30 points every game in tight games. So our defense was also not perfect. But that’s the beast of the playoffs is that you’re going to play against the best offenses and defenses of the league and you gotta get it done
My argument for mvp=team stat is that the worst record for an mvp winner in the last 8 years is 12-4. It’s pretty clear that if you’re the qb on the best TEAM in the league you win the mvp. Example: 2024 Josh Allen had 4200 total yards and 40 total tds and Burrow had 5100 total yards and 45 total tds but the bills went 13-4 so it goes to Allen.
Not saying he isn’t good, and I even said I’m not defending Joe. But with a slight exception to Super Bowl mvp those stats aren’t individual stats. Every argued about qb is going to have their shining moments and blights and there’s going to be reasons for those. But Jalen Hurts in my opinion is a system qb behind his offensive line and rb and those parts of the team are the reason for his shining moments
@mgmking_@YooNiksa@Jackson_Muse Make an argument towards how I don’t know ball, that’s how this works dumbass. Burrow Higgins and Chase have the playoff career that Lamar wishes he had. Literally the James Harden of the NFL
Just rewatched for the millionth time and Likely had to come back to the ball to even catch it? You’re not getting the point whatsoever, Likely had nothing but end zone in front of him which 30 qbs in the league would throw him into the space. Lamar threw him back towards the line of scrimmage and to the ground
