๐๐บ Excited to be at MACD's #LGTW2023 conference. #careerworkforcedev2023
True story.
Stop waiting and put up your dang hand!
You can still be a โniceโ person even when you speak up and take up space.
#careers#CareerSuccess#Mindset
"My hard work will speak for itself"
"If I work hard people will notice me"
Spoiler: It won't.
If you are ready to get noticed:
it's time to speak up and take up space.
@relentlesseco Umโฆwow. Thatโs a pretty gross perspective. I wonder if he needs to experience some of that pain so he can do someโฆself reflection? ๐ค
@careersherpa Iโve been trying to get into the habit of commenting first and then liking. It affects the algorithm more positively for the person who posted. ๐
Luck doesnโt just happen, itโs created. You can do things to increase the odds of serendipity.
Meeting more people makes you lucky. Learning more skills makes you lucky. Being willing to fail makes you lucky. Offering to help others more often makes you lucky.
@CareerTips2Go I agree, @CareerTips2Go. Sometimes I think the word 'coach' feels safer than 'therapist' so people reach out, but we ethically know we are not the intervention they need. Plus, honestly @careersherpa, some folks don't want to admit that they don't actually want a solution.
