Wadim Rosenstein is a German entrepreneur from Düsseldorf, born in 1990. He's the founder and CEO of WR Chess, which organizes major tournaments (like the WR Chess Masters), supports global chess development including in Africa, and fields a team that won FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team titles. A former junior competitive player, he's now a FIDE-rated rapid/blitz player himself and finances high-level events through his logistics and certification businesses.
@Rameshchess It appears that the chess tournament organisers are making money by conducting tournaments with huge entry fees (at all levels)
A player has to register by paying Annual fees at all levels ( Dist, State, National) to participate in a tournament!!
Need for fundamental reforms.
@sethuramanchess Chess in India has become a business looting the aspirant players in the name of huge entry fees and funny forced registration starting from District, to State and National (AICF). I wonder why they don't demand International (FIDE) registration!!
Players should unite and fight
