Do you know that the boy that was killed by the Police in Delta state also lost his elder brother to same Police on 2022.
His mother has been incosolable.
The most infuriating sight!!! A policeman gruesomely murders a man in broad daylight in Delta. This man is clearly restrained and poses no threat whatsoever. What kind of ANIMALISTIC behaviour is this @PoliceNG ?!!!
PROTEST SUSPENSION NOTICE
Today hurts. Many young Nigerians woke up ready to walk the streets for justice, but we are suspending the protest for now.
We are heartbroken to confirm that our peaceful action was targeted for infiltration by hired thugs. The plan was clear. Turn a genuine citizens’ movement into chaos. Spill blood. Blame the youth. Break our spirit.
We refuse to trade human lives for headlines. No struggle is worth the death of innocent people.
This pause is painful, but it is not weakness. It is a moment to protect our people and prepare for stronger nationwide action.
What we are fighting for
• The 2025 Tax Acts are crushing families, small businesses, and the dreams of young people.
• Youth‑owned enterprises are closing while the political class remains protected.
• Nigerians are working harder and earning less, while new taxes deepen poverty and fear.
Our demand is clear. The government must suspend these taxes and review them in the interest of the people.
Why the protest could not hold today
• Credible reports confirmed planned hijack attempts by sponsored thugs at key protest routes.
• Security conditions in several states placed peaceful participants at serious risk.
• Coordinating partners requested more time to build a unified national front.
• Fresh legal and documentary evidence on the disputed tax provisions is being finalized.
• Ongoing consultations with civic, faith, and community leaders opened a short window for renewed engagement.
These reasons are real. They are painful. They reflect our duty to protect lives while strengthening the movement.
Message to the President
Mr. President, Nigerians are tired, hungry, and anxious. The weight of these tax laws is breaking households and shutting down hope.
We are giving your administration a few more days to act in good faith and suspend the 2025 Tax Acts. This is a final opportunity to prevent deeper national tension and show respect for the people you govern.
To our supporters
Do not lose heart. Use this moment to organize, educate, and prepare. A new date for mass action will be announced soon. Our resolve is not fading. It is growing.
We remain peaceful. We remain disciplined. We remain committed to a future where young Nigerians can live, work, and breathe without fear of economic suffocation.
Signed
Comrade Balarabe Rufa’i
