If you could maintain a constant acceleration of 1G, the astronauts could walk comfortably around the ship with “down” being the direction of thrust. Flip around the other direction halfway through the trip to decel.

No way the catcher and the umpires and all the coaches just casually played it like that was the case if it wasn’t a force out. Only one who got it wrong was the home ump (changed)
