@KenGardner11 Yes in theory, but the problem, at least in many states, is that you then can’t vote in primary elections and that’s where most of the races are actually decided.
@chrisjenks79@JonahDispatch Guess I’m missing the context. Just don’t see any other than what’s in the tweet. I’m certainly not MAGA, think the case was correctly decided, but I just don’t find Miller’s tweet particularly controversial.
@chrisjenks79@JonahDispatch I don’t see the reference in the tweet. Plus that wouldn’t make sense. The birthright decision basically upheld an interpretation that’s been widely accepted and certainly hasn’t been destructive to the country.
@KenGardner11 Exactly. It might be a defensible policy, but the administration needs to quit the bullshit and be honest about what it’s up to. I know asking Trump to quit the bullshit is like asking the leopard to change its spots.
@AGHamilton29 I’m not sure that’s what happening here. Even Trump said we were close to a deal. While perhaps the Iranians are changing terms or being obstinate on final points, there is real concern that Trump is entering into a bad deal and clearly pressure on him (from Senators etc).
You know what? When there are terrorist attacks in the US by extremists I’d prefer that the same politicians and podcasters who egg them on with non stop inflammatory rhetoric and by endorsing Hamas rallies and who refuse to condemn phrases like “Globalize the intifada” and who blame everything on Jews don’t then try to act surprised or sympathetic when these attacks happen. It’s insulting and you’re not fooling anybody. I’d rather Mamdani be more like his wife who probably already smashed the like button a billion times and threw a party at Gracie Mansion. At least she owns it. Give me the straight forward hatred rather than the hypocrisy.
Anne Frank was targeted and murdered solely because she was Jewish. Leaders making false equivalencies to her experience for political purposes is never acceptable. Despite tensions in Minneapolis, exploiting the Holocaust is deeply offensive, especially as antisemitism surges.
