Super interesting article from @C_Hendrick about neuromyths, particularly how they cluster, and possible reasons why, and the impact it can have. Thanks.

Latest episode of the Talking Scottish Education podcast with Andy Creamer who has a leading role in the Scottish Curriculum Improvement Cycle is now out on all the usual platforms #TalkScotEd https://t.co/T9Dvco4jM8
@Lynne_SCILT and @SheenaSCILT join @stuartphysics and @dnleslie on podcast Talking Scottish Education #TalkEdScot to discuss subject-specific PL, collaboration between primary & secondary, and the importance of language education in Scotland: https://t.co/XzEmvXxvFX
Really interesting points on ‘knowing the dots to join the dots.’ Reassured by the research within the CIC discussion papers. Hopeful that the work going on with teachers in the CIC core groups will positively impact the need for knowledge. @dnleslie@stuartphysics
@brynspiration@mrallanmaths@dnleslie@AndyBrown314 Provided the in-service days are used for meaningful PL. Despite being the prime contractual teacher collaboration time the existing ones are rarely used for this but driven by admin and accountability activities. If extras are used for more of the same they will not have impact.
@dnleslie@stuartphysics@AndyBrown314 Finally got around to listening - always great to hear Andy's thoughts.
Time for subject specific professional learning is so important. The mistake of focusing on skills over knowledge was made twice: first in the curriculum for students, and in development for teachers.
This morning’s chores were accompanied by @dnleslie@stuartphysics talking to @AndyBrown314 This was an excellent, enthusiastic& realistic insight into the CIC; the challenges and the triumphs of influencing improvement within Scottish Education https://t.co/8Jw9zBZ9rh

📻 The politicisation of Scottish education over the last decade has been to the detriment of schools.
We have had more prominence and politics around these issues in recent times, but much less actual scrutiny.

It is great to get the first #TalkScotEd podcast with @BarryBlackNE and @mrdegsy live at last. Despite @dnleslie’s best efforts Derek’s audio on this one is a bit poor but hopefully the quality of the conversation makes up for it.
It’s finally here.
