Cost of establishment & premium per hectare is roughly €12,000

Our taxes pay that.

WEP participants like Aldi/AnPost/CIE etc make a ONE OFF payment of €1000 per hectare and take ALL the credit.

Here is species breakdown for a 101ha of new woodland I have planned. SS = Sitka, SBi = Silver birch, OG = designed open ground, NBL = Native broadleaves (other than a crop of birch), OL = other land within the fence (ponds, mire etc), DF = Douglas fir, NS = Norway spruce.
