Welcome to Lydney Town, Darren Jones.

We are pleased to announce that former Forest Green Rovers, Newport County and Hereford United stalwart Darren Jones will take the helm for the 2026/27 season.

With over 400 professional league games, Darren brings excellent pedigree, as well as managerial spells at Chepstow Town, Cwmbran Town and Westfields.

Upon the appointment, chairman Neil Hook commented

‘we are delighted that Darren has accepted our offer to the lead the team into the new season. We had a terrific response with some really good candidates. Darren stood out to us as someone with a good knowledge of football, a great temperament and a real ambition to push us back up the leagues. His experience will be invaluable to our young squad as we head into a new league.’
