It looks like password enforcement is similar to Android. I set a policy that enforced six digit pin, device already had five and the device became out of compliance.

Does Intune show why compliance fails? In my case it was trial and error

2) Surely learning Outlook is not that tough?

The articles somewhat contradict one another. One says POP and IMAP are enabled by default, the other says it isn't - though could be specific to Outlook client?
