1. The most common predictors that a homicide had been staged as something else: the victim is suffering domestic abuse; the homicide is staged as a suicide; the controlling partner finds the body or is at the scene. This is research.
if you tax landlords fairly, they'll put their rents up. if you give tenants any rights, they'll put their rents up. if you don't remodel the entire law and economy to their exact desires, they'll put their rents up. also, if you do nothing at all, they'll put their rents up

Risk escalation tracking is so important. Gavin Plumb is a case in point, so will Kyle Clifford be, as was Wayne Couzens. We shouldn’t be retrospectively tracking escalation, we should proactively apply these techniques. Prevention is better than murder.

Please @YvetteCooperMP@jessphillips@Keir_Starmer do not use the murders of Carol, Hannah and Louise to simply ban crossbows. Do that if you will, but don’t do it to avoid the more difficult issue of male violence towards partners. And how about following through on the promises made after the murder of Sarah Everard - specifically - relentless pursuit of perpetrators. Risk escalation tracking should be standard practice by now.
Listening to the inquest findings today in the murder of Zara Aleena. We should be using risk escalation tracking with the risk assessments. Some professionals do use it, but not enough. It’s more complex but so useful. Contact me for more information
