Dani was the strongest man I knew. He bravely fought stage 4 cancer for 4 years, and I’m so happy to have known him.

A year ago today I was told I got type 1 diabetes

I had no idea what this even entailed, I was getting ready to go to SI in Brazil when I was hospitalised 🤠

I always thought diabetes was from “eating too much sugar”, but T1D is an autoimmune disease that can just arise

I’m so lucky that nowadays there’s so many good treatments and medicine that keeps me living normally, and while I’ll always have this with me, we make a good joke out of it (especially when my glucose alarm goes off in a 1vX situation) 💀

I never thought I would make such a positive impact by talking about it, but when those who also live with t1d share their experiences in my stream, or when people ask questions about something I never even knew about prior to having it, it makes it all so worth it ✨
