Yet the organization known as "Why Islam" got free rein during lunch to hand out "Understanding Shariah" pamphlets and Qurans with conversion cards while administrators watched and did nothing.

The principal even bragged about loving World Hijab Day.

In America, conservative students should not be castigated and harassed while Muslims and Islam promoted freely. This is an inversion of the social compact and it must be stopped.

The Establishment Clause is the most Christian idea in the American founding and it is the greatest gift the United States ever gave to the world.

It is the Reformation’s central insight, written into law for the first time in human history.

It codified the radical idea that authentic faith cannot be manufactured by the state, that coerced worship is an offense to God, that the church is most itself when it stands free from all of that.

Every Protestant martyr who died under a state church, every Baptist who was jailed in colonial Virginia for preaching without a license, every Puritan who crossed an ocean to worship according to their own conscience and the suffered all did it for the establishments clause in America.

And what America did with it was unprecedented. For the first time in the history of human civilization, a government looked at the question of religious authority and said this is not ours and we will not misappropriate it.

Not because faith doesn’t matter, but because it matters so much that no legislature, no king, no bishop, no majority has the right to touch it.

That idea was not only highly radical, Protestant, and deeply biblical, it was also what made American religious life the most vibrant in the world, at the time, while state churches in Europe slowly emptied.

It protected not just minority faiths but Christianity itself, keeping it alive by keeping it free. The insight that government must never claim the human soul is perhaps the most consequential political gift any nation has ever given to humanity and it came not from secular philosophy alone, but from people who believed, with their whole hearts, that the soul belongs to God.

That’s the whole reason they called it soul liberty.

Why we fight for something matters. Why we believe something matters. Nuance and precise language matters.

The establishment clause is not secular. The left who tries to make it a secular concept and they are wrong, but those on the right who try to find a way to merge the two are also wrong.

As Christians are biblical, worldview comes with us every time we go somewhere. Our commitment to the good, beautiful and true is ingrained in who we are and what we believe and therefore comes out every time we speak or should come out every time we speak.

Our ability to legislate and to be Christian should never be coerced.

We should always have to do the hard task of convincing hearts, and minds that what we believe in our biblical worldview is the best way for society.

You can’t snap your fingers and persuade people. It takes time, it takes energy, it takes love, it takes respect, but most importantly it takes the courage to stand up and speak the truth.
