The intro for State of Play was made entirely out of printed paper cut outs that I animated myself and then layered in After Effects. It’s about 80 different layers of stop motion and the number of photos is probably in the thousands (I lost count). 😅
Video description: 3D rendering of moon on a dark background, with 24 hr clock around it, uses WebGL, as you drag cursor moon phase and properties update as you travel back/forward in time. Also crtl drag; an experiment originally for moonlit photography.
