@seanolive @YouTube As usual with these A.I. LLMs, it gets things wrong, misrepresents the science, and omits salient information (e.g. that the vast majority prefer Harman). But then, so do many highly popular actual human podcasters/YouTubers...in particular when it comes to this paper of yours.

@seanolive Preference ratings. MOA is prone to too many potential issues, such as more/less is better bias, complex threeway adjustment interactions, and the questionable choice of the B&K 5128 DF as baseline.

@sainsburys I'm experiencing the exact same issue, as are multiple other people too. There is clearly a major technical problem here with the ordering system, please fix this as soon as possible

Their obsession wth Theile's unproven (even disproven by your work) hypotheses and presenting them as fact is completely unscientific, and is clearly biasing their judgements. I doubt any of them would actually prefer a DF based FR if they actually blind tested themselves.

The study that figure is from in fact shows both Class 1 & 2 preferred the Harman target (left pic), & Class 3 preferred a FR following Harman fairly well (right):

@seanolive @ResolveReviews @canjam Yep, and making the bounds narrower won't help either, as we know smaller amplitude deviations can be just as or more audible and bothersome than larger amplitude deviations if the Q-factor is low enough. Preference bounds like these are just fundamentally flawed and misleading

@listener800 @seanolive @crinacle Private? You proclaim your bold opinions on every public platform you can, & imply they're widely held preferences without any valid evidence. You do not speak for "people's" preferences. You can't even be certain you speak for your own true preference, unless you blind test it.

@seanolive @crinacle Oh I'm very glad you don't pander to reviewers :) Opinions is also the right word, rather than actual sound preference, the former influenced by unsupported conjecture, cognitive bias & vested interest in things like frequency response pluralism to give their IEM 'collabs' a USP.
