So now we start with a zero value subscription plan and then using cronjobs update the usage value and pick the latest usage metrics instead of aggregating it to achieve the desired payment flow. Took an entire week to figure it out but finally did it!! 💪

Essentially Stripe offers a metered pricing plan, but the price increases with usage. Which is exactly the opposite of what we wanted to do. We wanted the plan to start with a constant value and decrease with usage.
I was finally able to complete the app-blocking logic. Spent so much time trying to identify a way to prevent blocked apps from opening in MacOS. Turns out I could minimize the app as soon as it came into focus. It was such a joy to implement this!!

Building a habit of at least chipping in an hour to a side project every day is difficult. But this is exactly the reason why I chose a small project, to begin with to develop that hacking muscle. Let's hope for more productive days!!
