@fabriciochamon Oh hey, thank you for the shoutout. I see you've also ended up with Houdini. How are you liking it?
As much as I loved Softimage, I love Houdini even more.
@WallStreetBaby6 @NorthmanTrader Cremated investors? The S&P is up more than 25% this year. Even a 20% correction would still have it at +5%, which is not an unusually low number for the stock market.
@TomBonnell3@NorthmanTrader Powell was not perceived as hawkish because he wasn't. They're still buying assets, printing money and keeping rates near zero. He literally said that they don't want to move too quickly in order not to trigger a bad market reaction.
@NorthmanTrader In an earlier meeting Powell said that markets are not important to the Fed, that they only worry about their two mandates. Now all of a sudden they must protect the markets.
@2017_nonsense@RohanCreates Karma XPU is around the corner. It's very usable even in its current Alpha state. Haven't had any crashes yet although I haven't thrown complex scenes at it yet.
@RohanCreates Looking at the insane updates SideFX pushes out every version compared to what other companies give you in their new versions makes it pretty clear to me that I don't want the status quo to change at all. Things would only get worse.
@witzka04@NorthmanTrader Absolutely. Spray paint it silver and tell the people you've invented a new fruit. They'll wait two weeks in front of the store. They'll also frown upon you for eating regular apples.
@ecb@Lagarde Yes, of course the inflation obstacle is going to magically vanish all by itself, no need to slow down this train.
So you project that it'll be a hump. Did you also project the hump before it first appeared? Or did that come as a surprise?
@hahamasala@NorthmanTrader Fueling the fire and telling us that it'll die down all by itself even if it burns a little higher for "some time". It's ridiculous really.
@Achill_93@CNBCJulianna@SullyCNBC Toyota's profit 2020 was $20 billion, Tesla's was $0.7 billion. Thanks to lots and lots of certificate sales, i.e. government funding.
@Lagarde@ecb@DM_Rubenstein@BloombergTV You've printed yourselves into a corner. Acknowledging this would be the first step towards trust.
But really, how can we trust an institution that's entirely lost sight of its mandate to keep prices stable. Maybe call yourselves the European Climate Bank from now on.
@NorthmanTrader S&P dipped down to its 50-day MA for the 8th time this year.
The previous 7 times it immediately went back up to continue its trajectory from before the quick dip. And it's doing it again.
