Need some career advice from Tech Twitter.
I’m 22, recently graduated, and have 1.5+ years of Full Stack experience.
Current situation:
• Making ~$500–700/month from freelancing
• Recently left a higher-paying role because I wanted something more stable long-term
• Got selected for a Bangalore-based role with:
₹45k/month internship (up to 3 months)
Potential conversion to ₹10–14 LPA FTE based on performance
The catch: relocation is mandatory, and I’d have to move away from family and friends in West Bengal.
If you were in my position, would you:
A) Take the Bangalore opportunity and bet on the conversion
B) Stay remote, grow freelancing, and keep searching for remote roles
Would love to hear from people who’ve faced a similar decision.
Retweets appreciated. Looking for perspectives from founders, hiring managers, senior engineers, and anyone who’s had to choose between career growth and staying close to family.
