At @ETHGlobal’s #ETHBangkok, I saw hackers flying in from all over the world, ready to build. But I kept noticing the same pattern:

- 30% were beginners
- 48 hours isn’t much time to learn and build
- Many found it tough to come up with an idea that aligned with Ethereum’s vision

I kept telling them at least use Cursor or ChatGPT to generate ideas! But some didn’t even know where to start.

Every hackathon, the industry exerts a lot of effort to push the space forward. But the blockchain learning curve is steep, especially for beginners.

After ETHBangkok, I sat down with my friend @suboor2002 to fix this.

@vitalik_ag Hackathons spark innovation, but sustained progress needs long-term collaboration. More focus on applied ZK-EVM research & tooling could bridge the gap between hype and real-world adoption. Maybe a hybrid model—hackathons + structured research sprints? 🤔
