Chongtham Vikram Singh ji, a renowned musician from Manipur, went downstairs to ask some men to lower the noise outside his home. He was beaten to death for it.

A father, killed outside his own home, in his own country's capital. After many such incidents, every Northeast family in Delhi is asking the same question today - are we safe here?

What are Shah's MHA and Delhi Police doing to stop this growing lawlessness, especially against people from the Northeast?

There must be a swift investigation, and the culprits must be brought to justice. My condolences to Vikram ji's family.

The people of Assam are being misled through a selective interpretation of the Supreme Court’s directions to justify shrinking #Kaziranga’s Eco-Sensitive Zone (ESZ) to just 1 kilometre.

Kaziranga’s wildlife corridors, forests and biodiversity must be protected — NOT sacrificed at the altar of luxury resorts, commercial interests and illegal mining.

Here, former LoP Shri @DsaikiaOfficial directly challenges the Assam Chief Minister’s narrative and raises serious questions about the real intent behind this move. He also reminds the Chief Minister that his family owns a resort located in an elephant corridor in Kaziranga.

Kaziranga is our natural heritage. Its protection must come before profits, resorts and vested interests.

📌 Despite a 2019 Supreme Court ban, illegal mining in the Kaziranga–Karbi Anglong landscape has continued and intensified, according to the Central Empowered Committee’s report to the Supreme Court.

📌 Google Earth imagery from 2019–2023 and site-specific data show that mining, which had stopped after the SC’s 2019 ban, resumed and intensified after 2021.

📌 The CEC also found that the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC ) granted fresh permissions for dozens of mines in forest areas and proposed eco-sensitive zones, allegedly in violation of the Supreme Court’s ban and without the required approvals.

📌 The CEC said the KAAC had no authority to grant such permissions.

No wonder the KAAC Chief is the Assam CM’s best buddy.
