I feel very happy that nearly 40 international students and faculty members from the City University of New York (CUNY), who are with us as part of our IndiaTrek initiative, joined us in celebrating National Handloom Day in a very special way.

All of them wore handloom kurtas and happily became a part of our tradition. It was beautiful to see young people from different countries respecting and enjoying the rich handloom culture of India and Odisha.

This is what IndiaTrek is all about—bringing people from different parts of the world closer to our culture, traditions and way of life through real experiences.

On the occasion of National Handloom Day, my lovable KIITians celebrated KAANCHI 2026 – The 12th National Handloom Celebration with great enthusiasm. I was very happy to welcome Shri Pradeep Bal Samanta(@pradeepbsbjp), Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Co-operation and Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts, Government of Odisha (@HTH_Odisha), as the Chief Guest.

For the last 30 years, I have been trying in my own small way to promote the handloom of Odisha. I have brought thousands of sarees directly from hundreds of our handloom weavers and gifted them to guests visiting KIIT and KISS. For me, it is not only about gifting a saree; it is about promoting our handloom culture and supporting the families of our weavers.

Our handloom carries the identity, culture and creativity of generations. Odisha has such a rich handloom tradition, and we must always take pride in it.

I felt very happy to see our young KIITians celebrating and carrying forward this beautiful legacy.

Happy to welcome a 15-member delegation from Assam representing Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Trust, who visited KISS and spent time understanding our work closely.

I was very happy to know that they appreciated what they saw at KISS. Every day, many educationists, social workers, students and other resource persons from different parts of India and abroad visit KIIT and KISS to see and understand our work in education, tribal empowerment and social transformation.

It always gives me great happiness when people come here, interact with our children and take back some good ideas from KISS. I hope their visit was meaningful and memorable.

My lovable KISSians joined the ‘10 Crore Drug-Free Pledge Mega Campaign’ organised by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris at KISS today.

I feel happy that my lovable children took a pledge to stay away from drugs and create awareness among their friends, families and communities. I told them that their life and future are very precious. They should remain healthy, disciplined and strong, and never allow any addiction to come in the way of their dreams.

The youth are the greatest strength of our country, and healthy and drug-free youth can build a strong and developed India.

We are grateful to Prajapita Brahma Kumaris for this important nationwide initiative. Let us all work together for a drug-free India.

Deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Padma Shri Dr D. Y. Patil Ji, noted educationist, philanthropist and former Governor. I was fortunate to share a close personal bond with him, and I will always remember his affection, warmth and kindness.

His lifelong contribution to education and society will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family and well-wishers. May his noble soul rest in peace. Om Shanti.

I feel very happy to share that KISS Deemed to be University has received the Platinum Rating and secured the 3rd position in the National Green University Ranking 2026, with a score of 95.1 out of 100.

The ranking has been launched by Green Mentors, an organisation in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC). It is a comprehensive national framework that recognises higher education institutions for their work in sustainability, climate action, green infrastructure, biodiversity conservation and community engagement.

This recognition reflects the continuous efforts of KISS in solar energy, biogas, rainwater harvesting, plantation, scientific waste management and protection of biodiversity.

At KISS, education is not limited to books. We also teach our children to love nature, protect the environment and become responsible citizens. I congratulate the entire KISS family on this achievement and thank Green Mentors for this recognition.

Congratulations to my lovable KIITian Praveen Chithravel on winning the Silver Medal in the Men’s Triple Jump at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow. I feel very happy to see him bring glory to India and make the entire KIIT-KISS family proud.

Congratulations also to Tejaswin Shankar on winning the Bronze Medal in the Men’s Decathlon and creating history as the first Indian to win a Commonwealth Games medal in this event. His achievement has made the entire country proud.

My best wishes to both of them for many more achievements in the days ahead.

Happy and proud to congratulate my lovable KIITian, Mr Priyanshu De, a Computer Science student of KIIT, for qualifying to represent India at the prestigious WorldSkills Competition 2026 to be held in Shanghai, China.
He had earlier won the Bronze Medal at the IndiaSkills Competition, and through his hard work, dedication and skill, he has now earned this great opportunity to represent our country on the global stage.

My best wishes are always with him. May he continue to work hard and bring more glory to KIIT, Odisha and India.

I feel very happy to see my lovable KISS children doing so well in Romania.

My tribal children from KISS are performing Santali dance and Shakespeare in Santali on a foreign land, and I have been told that everyone there is appreciating them with so much love. This gives me great happiness.

This is the best way to give good exposure to our tribal children from India, particularly Odisha. When our children go to another country and receive love for their talent and culture, it gives them more confidence in life.

My blessings and best wishes to all my students in Romania. They are bringing a good name to Odisha, India, KIIT and KISS, and presenting the tribal language and culture of India and Odisha with pride on a foreign land.

Only 10 days to go for the 13th Anniversary of the International Day of Art of Giving.

Every year, this special day is celebrated with great love and happiness by millions of fan followers and well-wishers across 220 countries, every city and state of India, and every district, town and panchayat of Odisha.

This year’s theme is “Share to Shine.”

When you share what you have — your food, your time, your knowledge, your love, your effort — you do not become less. You shine from within.

I humbly invite all my dear members and followers of the Art of Giving family to celebrate this occasion wholeheartedly in your own simple way. I am happy to know that all our KISS students pursuing MBA in Rural Management at KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) have been placed in different development organisations.

Every year, around 5% of meritorious students from KISS are selected to pursue professional education at KIIT with full scholarships, and most of them get placed through campus recruitment.

It feels good to see them taking up professional roles. I am confident they will bring positive change in their own lives and also contribute to society.

Today evening, as Shri Anant Ambani Ji hosted a special dinner for my 40,000 KISS children, I felt very happy.

I could see the excitement and joy on their faces. They celebrated the birthday by cutting a cake, dancing, and spending time together with so much happiness. These simple moments of togetherness mean a lot to them. When my children are happy, I feel happy. This is my true happiness.

We all at KISS appreciate the care and affection of Shri Anant Ambani Ji towards our children. He has announced scholarships for them, will take our topper students to Vantara to learn and experience new things, and has also offered job opportunities to 30 KISS students every year in the Reliance Group.

For children coming from very humble tribal families, this means a lot. It gives them confidence and a new path in life.

Today, on the birthday of Shri Anant Ambani Ji, I am very happy.

I felt real happiness when I saw the smiling faces of my 40,000 KISS children. Today, he has brought joy into their lives in a very simple and caring way. He is hosting a special dinner for all our children. I feel happy thinking that my children will sit together and enjoy this moment.

He has also announced scholarships for our children. Our topper students, from KG to PG, will get an opportunity to visit Vantara and learn many things there. Along with this, study materials have been given to all the children for this year, which will help them in their education.

It is also a matter of happiness that every year, 30 of our KISS children will get job opportunities in the Reliance Group. For children coming from very humble tribal families, this support means a lot. It gives them confidence and a new path in life.

I feel that such happiness has not come to my children in this way before. Today, we are not only happy, we are also very grateful.
