Listen to this..it will blow your mind.
A group of young men from south Iraq's Shaghanba tribe, driven by nothing more complicated than loyalty to their own people, managed to do in the Red Sea what the U.S. Central Command apparently could not do with all its warships and military hardware: get their relatives home safely.
The story began when a commercial vessel carrying several members of the tribe was attacked by pirates in the red sea. The pirates seized the ship, took everyone on board hostage, and demanded a hefty ransom for their release.
And this is where the story took an unexpected turn.
Instead of waiting for the U.S. Navy, CENTCOM, or one of the aircraft carriers patrolling the region under the banner of "securing maritime navigation" (yeah right), the Shaghanba men decided to handle the matter themselves.
They took a plane to Somalia, made their own arrangements, acquired what they needed in weaponry and amunition and headed out to sea aboard fishing boats. Yes..fishing boats!
No destroyers. No frigates. No surveillance aircraft. No billion dollar military operation.
Just fishing boats, determination, and a very simple objective: bring their people back home.
While the world's most powerful military was busy talking about "Red Sea security", these Iraqi tribesmen were making their way across the waters in search of their own.
The whole thing sounds less like 2026 and more like the plot of an old school action movie!
And perhaps that is the most ironic part of the story.
The Red Sea was supposedly being secured by one of the most powerful military forces on Earth. Well, the past few months have indeed proven otherwise😊
Yet when it came to protecting their own family members, these men apparently decided they could not afford to wait for anyone else.
Because for the Shaghanba, this was never really about a ship, a ransom, or a show of force.
It was much simpler: Our brothers are out there. We're going to bring them home.
And so, in one of the Red Sea's more extraordinary ironies, maritime security apparently required something far less sophisticated than an American carrier strike group: An Iraqi (Shia😉) tribe that refused to leave its people behind.
USians are the only people on this earth that could have achieved the level of antiliteracy to inbreeding ratio necessary to convince themselves they are somehow oppressed by the settler colonial military outpost they've funded for the last 80 years.
“Have you taught your son to speak properly yet - to speak Ukrainian instead of that pig-dog language?”
A former neighbor recently wrote to me.
I grew up with him in my village near Lviv, in western Ukraine. By “pig-dog language,” of course, he meant Russian—the language my son speaks.
He even kept harassing my mother about it while watching her waste away from stage-four cancer that had spread throughout her body. She had lost 30 kilograms. Apparently, even a dying woman could still be subjected to a language loyalty test.
Yes, this is my Galicia. Bandera place.
Chauvinistic and now handed a wartime carte blanche for hatred.
It was one of the reasons I decided to leave Ukraine soon after Russia invaded. Because the daily contempt, harassment, and dehumanization directed at Russian-speaking Ukrainians had become unbearable—and war did not create that ugliness so much as give it moral permission to flourish.
My new column is about precisely this: how treating Russian-speaking Ukrainians as second-class citizens is being normalized and how prejudice becomes respectable once it learns to speak the language of patriotism.

En algún momento de este siglo, los occidentales tendrían que admitir que han perdido el control de sus patrias en favor de una oligarquía violenta y apátrida y que la solución no pasa por el enésimo concurso de popularidad (elecciones) patrocinado por ese propio capital.
An armed resistance fighter in Gaza in tears while destroying a tank muttering to himself, "They've killed children and women. May Allah accept it from us."
If you don't support Palestinian armed resistance fighters, you're not a supporter of Palestine.
The first five victims of Havana Syndrome were CIA agents working under diplomatic cover. Now we learn Canada was very likely running a secret spying program in Cuba at the behest of the United States. Very odd!

They reserve the right to invade countries "preemptively" based on intelligence they fabricate.
They reserve the right to assassinate foreign nationals by drone, without criminal charge or trial.
They reserve the right to surveil the entire planet's communications.
They reserve the right to imprison people indefinitely without charge.
They reserve the right to fund and arm whoever serves their interests regardless of what those people do with the funding and the arms.
They reserve the right to sanction any country that challenges any of this.
They call this the "rules-based international order."
The rule is: they decide.
The order is: everyone else complies.
The rest is branding.
Nasrallah: "What is happening in Gaza proves international law cannot protect you. Memorize this. Some say "give up your weapons, rely on the UN." If you are weak the world will not acknowledge you, protect you, or even cry for you. What protects you is your weapons, your power!"
There's 0% chance that Obama doesn't know that this is bullshit. He's doing a job--the same job he's always done. He is running interference for the oligarchs by further stupefying liberals.
🇺🇸 2026 y la gente sigue sin entender que el imperialismo yanqui no deja nada de provecho en tu país.
1) EE.UU. exporta dólares al mundo vía déficits (bases militares, guerras, importaciones);
2) Los bancos centrales extranjeros acumulan dólares y solo pueden invertirlos en deuda pública estadounidense;
The technology of this Chinese company (Orient Sundar, 奥润顺达) is actually super interesting: they've developed full "passive-house" systems where houses/apartments are so well insulated from heat or cold that they require virtually no heating or cooling, even in harsh climates.
They've actually developed an entire residential compound with that technology in Gaobeidian, a city next to Beijing, which gets extremely cold in winter (as low as −23.3°C) and one resident interviewed in Chinese media said that her flat stays at about 23°C all year with "no need to heat the house in winter or turn on the air conditioner in summer" (https://t.co/0QNCBfjTHa).
Funnily, one problem they've had with the technology in China is that they underestimated how much heat was naturally produced inside homes, because most Chinese families live with their elderly parents who cook three meals a day at home: due to this, the flats generated around 40% more internal heat than their models initially assumed (https://t.co/7JChdeQlBq).
In other words, with this technology, the home heating system becomes grandma's cooking 😅
🇷🇺🇩🇪 Lavrov placed a Russian report on Bucha basically in the face of German foreign minister at the UN meeting.
Wadephul looked at it for a while, but ignored it and just read his notes with his demands from Russia.
Why did he not comment on it?
Not even rejecting in response?
Looks like Wadephul was not able to move even an inch outside the prepared notes and script.
Imagine FB goes bankrupt in our lifetime 🙏
Zuckerberg lost nearly $9 billion in a single day after Goldman Sachs poured cold water on Meta’s AI-fueled stock rally.
Turns out spending 100s of billions on AI infrastructure before figuring out how to actually make enough money from it might be… a tiny problem.
The AI bubble is starting to look expensive. 😏
⛔️“Slava Ukraini” was a fascist slogan formally used by the nationalist underground of the OUN and UPA—movements whose history includes collaboration with Nazi Germany, complicity in the Holocaust, and responsibility for the mass murder of Poles.
OUN members answered with “Glory to the Heroes!” or “Glory to the Leader!”—the latter referring to Bandera. Under the prescribed ritual, they shouted the slogan with an arm raised in a salute deliberately reminiscent of the fascist style.
The photo below shows a typical newspaper published under the German occupation of Ukraine.
This particular issue, titled 'New Life,' came out in Koziatyn, Vinnytsia region, on October 23, 1943.
Right at the top: “Slava Ukraini.”
Below it comes talk of the “victorious advance” of the German “liberators,” followed by rhetoric about “Zhydy (Jews)” supposedly taking over Ukraine—the familiar poison of the Judeo-Bolshevik conspiracy myth.
That history cannot simply be scrubbed away because the slogan later acquired a different political meaning. “Glory to Ukraine” carries historical baggage stained by the blood shed under Nazism and by Ukrainian collaborators who served it. Nor does that history magically disappear because Zelenskyy, who is Jewish, repeats the phrase.
So whenever a liberal, progressive, or leftist casually types “Slava Ukraini,” perhaps they should first do something progressives usually claim to value: historical inquiry.
Slogans have histories.
Pretending not to know them does not make those histories disappear.
