Congrats to @saribashi on her memoir, "Upside Down Love," about how a Jewish woman in Israel falls in love with a Palestinian man in the West Bank. It's a love story and a window into the injustices Palestinians face daily. And it's hope: if love can survive, maybe peace can.
Canada is horrified by the Israeli military’s bombing of the Nasser hospital in Gaza. The government of Israel has a duty to protect civilians, healthcare workers and journalists. The violence must stop and civilian lives must be protected.
Canada condemns the killing @AlJazeera journalists in #Gaza. Journalists are civilians — targeting them is unacceptable. We call for full accountability and for the protection of media everywhere. #PressFreedom#NotATarget
I have met Canadian Palestinians who have lost upwards of hundreds of family members in Gaza, sharing unimaginable pain and worry for remaining loved ones.
Their fears grow with each day that passes without meaningful action towards upholding international humanitarian law.
It's fine to ask @ZohranKMamdani about "globalize the intifada." I get why it disturbs most Jews. But NY Magazine just published a 10K word cover story arguing that Israel has committed "hundreds, if not thousands, of war crimes in Gaza." @andrewcuomo is Netanyahu's lawyer. What does it say about the media's view of Palestinian life that that's considered less important in this race?
If you’re reading this, know that it really happened.
I don’t know where and when you’re reading this. I’m writing from my home in Jaffa, Israel; the date is April 9, 2025, and the time is 13:00. >>
These speeches by the Palestinian & Israeli who made “No Other Land” are so simple & powerful. The Palestinian saying “I don’t want my baby daughter to face the same oppression.”The Israeli saying “I can’t be safe if my Palestinian brother isn’t free.”
The Zionist meltdown over No Other Land is epic. They want us to think:
1. Anyone who isn’t pro- Israeli genocide is pro-Hamas
2. Anyone talking about anything other than Oct. 7 100% of the time is pro-Hamas
Do these genocidal freaks realize how absolutely clownish they are?
This is what must scare @AIPAC and its allies. They are winning politically but losing culturally. Their attack ads can't stop Blue America's shift in collective consciousness on the question of Palestinian freedom. If politics really is downstream from culture, they're in trouble.

“I think all of us have been looking for a bold, hopeful, forward looking vision of what could be…I met this group of Palestinians, this group of Israelis and ‘A Land For All’ is their vision.”
@richardbranson on backing a new proposal for a two-state solution.
They shot up a Jewish girl's school. Again. On Yom Kippur.
Would you send your kid back to a school that hateful extremists keep returning to and opening fire on?
The goal is to make life impossible for Jews.
🚨Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant to U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin: “We have conducted precise strikes in Lebanon in order to thwart an imminent threat against the citizens of Israel. We are closely following developments in Beirut, and we are determined to use all the means at our disposal in order to defend our citizens"
@nilikm@FierteCapPride I have yet to have anyone explain to me how calling for a ceasefire, condemning the plausible genocide, condemning Oct 7, AND demanding hostage release should make Jews here feel unsafe. @fierteCapPride wrote a thoughtful, balanced statement.
I’m uncomfortable with my Jewish community claiming they aren’t “safe” marching in Pride following what I thought was a balanced and compassionate statement issued by @FierteCapPride condemning Oct 7, noting plausible genocide, AND calling for a ceasefire and hostage release.
And for those who prefer to simply “celebrate,” how can we celebrate unburdened when people are dying everyday and the IDF is flying pride flags atop the Gaza rubble? Plus, Jewish tradition encourages tempering our celebrations with a nod to tragedy (glass/wedding).
