🚨 BREAKING: UEFA have told @talkSPORT they intend to continue their boycott of FIFA competitions. FIFA's Rabat meeting in which Gianni Infantino was backed by some senior FIFA leadership members has not changed this.

“UEFA’s associations were very clear about the conditions attached to the non participation in FIFA competitions.

"First, the proposals to sell off the major competitions had to be withdrawn and secondly, assurances have to be made that such attempts to disfigure the game in this way will never be made again.

"These conditions have not been met. In addition, UEFA made it abundantly clear in it’s statement on Saturday that it has lost confidence in Gianni Infantino’s presidency. That position holds.

"Yesterday’s announcement that some people employed by the FIFA President (and whose careers depend on his favour) agree with him changes nothing."

🇪🇺 UEFA just told Infantino his apology doesn't cut it.

Even after he scrapped the World Cup stake sale and said sorry, UEFA says its boycott of FIFA competitions still stands. The conditions to lift it haven't been met, and it has no confidence in his leadership.

FIFA tried to project unity from an emergency meeting in Morocco, claiming the board gave him "full support." UEFA waved it off, saying he's lost the trust of much of the football family.

The awkward part is the calendar. It hangs over Europe's spot in upcoming FIFA events, starting with the U-20 Women's World Cup in Poland next month, where England is due to play.
