Full @Royal_Greenwich Council Debate on Royal Artillery Quays Building Safety Motion - 29Jan25
https://t.co/2IimKedhxd
Note : the Labour Councillors forced us to remove a critical part of our motion amendment below:
"Council ... Welcomes the decision by the London Fire Brigade to issue an enforcement notice in relation to fire safety issues at Royal Artillery Quays"
The Labour Councillors claimed there was no evidence to back it up. They did not give the RAQ Residents chair the chance to prove he had the below evidence from the Deputy Assistance Commissioner of the London Fire Brigade below confirming her decision to issue an enforcement notice for RAQ.
This was extremely unfair as it gave the impression RAQ Residents were misleading the council in the motion on the enforcement notice and undermined our credibility.
This is a complete failure of Labour Councillors to treat the serious fire safety concerns of RAQ Residents with the respect they deserve.

Dear Steve,
Following a review of our documents from the most recent visit to RAQ and subsequent consultation with our Enforcement Group, I can confirm that an Enforcement Notice will be issued to the Accountable person for your building.
The AP has already been notified of this decision. Once the notice has been issued it will be placed on the Public Register under the building name which can be accessed via the link below.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or require any additional information.

Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer on the Met's disgraceful policing said people had the right to go about their daily lives. I agree. But it was not protesters who tried to stop me walking to the Adelphi theatre yesterday; it was sniggering Blackstar private security guards.
Police broke their promise that our anti-monarchy protest could go ahead. They arrested Republic’s key organisers, confiscated Republic’s official placards, photographed us like we were criminals & erected barriers in front of our protest so the king would not see us
#NotMyKing
Peaceful protesters have been arrested and placards confiscated ahead of the coronation
The right to protest is fundamental to a healthy democracy
Whatever your stance on the monarchy, we must all defend that fundamental right
