@DrHistoryBrad U of C had such a tradition of excellent scholarship across so many fields in the humanities. Several of my PhD professors went there, they were brilliant, so well educated in a way that’s hard to find now. Hard to believe university of Chicago is just throwing this all away.

@Amy_Siskind Making it collapse is the plan. My son won’t be able to get insurance that he desperately needs. He’s only able to work jobs that don’t provide insurance. I have no idea what to do, except feel desperate because Congress as it currently is does not care about such people.
