Per our conversation tonight, the first glance at these always makes me panic-y. And then I calm down and think about it a sec and figure it out. It’s good practice for the scaries.
It's Mental Math Monday with guest @MrValencia24. He wants to know how you would mentally calculate 0.6×15. Please share how you would do it in the comments.
@T18121837@howie_hua@MrValencia24 This is the way I did it too. Perhaps the 6 x 1.5 was me adding 1.5 + 1.5 to 1.5 and getting 4.5 and then doubling that to get to 9.
And then I did a bit of checking to see if it made sense the same way you did.
I love these mental math problems! Always making me smarter!

@howie_hua I want to turn that into an easy calculation for my poor brain so I divided both of those by 3 and figured that 15 is 10% of the target number. I added a zero to both of those and figured that 150 is 100% of the target number.
One of the ways @LASchoolsWest Laurel Cinematic Arts & Creative Technologies Magnet celebrated Digital Citizenship Week was by hosting a parent meeting using @CommonSenseEd resource, "Finding Balance with Media and Tech Use at Home."
